Job Summary:
This full-time staff position requires refined skills and experience with administrative duties pertinent to orthopedics, managing clinic flow and with direct patient care in a fast paced, highly specialized surgical service line. This position will collaborate with the hip preservation service manager to efficiently and compassionately provide a wide spectrum of patient care under the direction of the hip preservation medical director and within the scope of their professional credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage new patient referrals to ensure appropriate patient demographics are met.
- Triage and respond to incoming patient phone calls and patient portal messages in Epic.
- Serve as a liaison for the patients in relation to all clinical and non-clinical issues; resolve and/or triage issues based on independent judgement.
- Provide clinical cross coverage in the absence of the service manager to assist medical providers to ensure optimal patient care and clinical efficiency. Ensure patients are appropriately scheduled based on time point, demographics, pathology, etc.
- Provide training and education to front desk staff on appropriate hip preservation patient demographics. Contributes to the development of training content for the clinic.
- Identify solutions and make recommendations on clinic flow and operations focused on clinical outcomes, best practices, workflow optimizations, and staff/practice development.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Boulder, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
- One (1) year of health care, insurance, or directly related experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Experience managing multiple schedules and clinic operations in a fast-paced medical practice.
- Previous experience working with orthopedic specialty clinic
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EPIC.
- Working knowledge of current insurance practices

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $61,546 - $78,286.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
