Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Assessment Coordinator to join the Division of Student Affairs. In this vital role, you will lead and facilitate the assessment of programs and services that enhance student experiences and outcomes. Collaborating with diverse departments, you will ensure that assessment activities are thoughtfully designed, data is accurately collected and analyzed, and insights are leveraged to drive impactful decision-making. Summary of Responsibilities


  • Assessment Planning and Implementation: Collaborates with leadership on the development and implementation of comprehensive assessment plans for programs and services with Student Affairs. Coordinates the design and administration of assessment tools, including surveys, focus groups, and other data collection methods. Ensures that assessment activities align with the division's strategic goals and objectives
  • Reporting and Communication: In collaboration with leadership, interprets assessment results and provides actionable insights to stakeholders through the preparation of detailed reports and presentations on assessment findings. Communicates assessment results and recommendations effectively to drive continuous improvement. Develops and maintains documentation related to assessment processes and outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborates with department staff to identify assessment needs and provides guidance on best practices. Offers training and support to staff on assessment methodologies and data utilization. Serves as a liaison between Student Affairs and the Office of Engagement and Effectiveness and other relevant departments.
  • Assists in monitoring the effectiveness of assessment practices and recommends improvements. Stays current with trends and best practices in program assessment and evaluation within higher education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and strategic goals of the Division of Student Affairs


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, statistics, or a related field.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of assessment and evaluation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Understanding of higher education structures, especially in student affairs.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Awareness of ethical considerations and confidentiality requirements in data handling.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and presentations.
  • Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple tasks.
