Position Summary:
University Information Services (UIS) provides technical services and enterprise applications to the University of Colorado's (CU) four campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service, technical expertise, and the development of enterprise applications responsible for supporting CU's students, faculty, staff, and others.
IT Business Services & Operations (IT BSO) is responsible for cross-organizational processes and internal offerings leveraged across UIS to deliver operational and external customer service goals successfully. We are focused on actions that serve our internal organizational needs. Our service offerings include Project & Portfolio Management, Organizational Change Management, IT Service Management, Quality Assurance, Finance & Administration, Strategic Planning Process & Facilitation, and UIS HR strategy and liaison representation. Quality Assurance (QA) covers QA processes, templates, education, tool support, and direct resources for UIS teams to utilize to ensure services and products meet the requirements to achieve customer satisfaction. This ranges from functional to non-functional testing, automation, and Test Lead service offerings.
The Senior QA Test Coordinator will directly Interfaces with application managers, business analysts, campus partners, subject matter experts, and project managers to coordinate testing activities and aid UIS in measuring and assuring the quality of the product itself while also ensuring that the product and correlating services meet customer expectations via quality control. This role exists to establish metrics, coordinates UAT testing team to ensure the deliverables meet the client's requirements and the specified quality and timeline parameters with the guidance of QA Test Lead.
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff system.

This role is eligible to work remotely within the United States, but preference will be given to applicants who live in Colorado or are willing to move to Colorado.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and evolve formal QA testing processes for a software development team.
- Review requirements with developers for consistency.
- Coordinating tests from start to end of a project.
- Develop test plans and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
- Implement and evolve System Integrations Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Verification and Validation (V&V) processes, ensuring consistency across projects and UIS service lines.
- Administer product base knowledge to all testing scenarios, test cases, and provide support as scripts are executed.
- Write clear and complete documentation in support of testing and release management procedures
- Work directly with application managers, business analysts, campus partners, subject matter experts and project managers to develop test plans/scripts.
- Track successful and failed test cases execution.
- In coordination with UIS service owners facilitate and oversee campus based UAT sessions.
- Update and develop new tools/tracking tools and processes to ensure testing goals are met.
- Document and provide metrics for Test Lead and Project Team.
- Communicates, organizes, and reports application deficiencies to application developers to aid in the correction of issues
- Analyzing and communicating test results.
- Support planning timeline for testing.
- Adheres to all established timelines established through QA Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Assures that appropriate testing environments are maintained and handles product environment issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Please ensure your resume includes any and all relevant experience to be accurately assessed against these qualifications. You must meet all minimum requirements listed at the time of application to be considered for this role.
- Bachelor's degree from and accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)
- Three (3) years' experience in system and application implementation testing, including:
- Collaborating effectively with diverse administrators and stakeholders; strong interpersonal, leadership, and change management skills
- Documenting test results, processes, and metrics
- Developing and executing manual and automated test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures.
- Logging and tracking defects, analyzing their impact, and recommending solutions.
- Experience using work management tools such as Team Dynamix
- Experience with tools like Cherwell, MS Office, MS Access, Visio, WPM, UFT, Browser Stack, Load Runner or ALM
- Experience with AI tools like CoPilot or ChatGPT
- Willingness and availability to assist with scheduled weekend maintenance tasks, as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
- Five (5) years' professional experience in system and application implementation testing, as outlined above
- Strong experience with PeopleSoft applications and development framework
- Experience working in higher education, including familiarity with QA tools and applications used in academic environments
- Knowledge of SQL
