In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
To provide support to the Department Chair, faculty, and fellows on the Pomona Campus for the NMM/OMM Department. To provide assistance with the delivery of didactic education by editing and posting the NMM/OMM Department Textbook and Technique Manual, supplemental information and lab hand-outs; managing course and laboratory schedules and student assignments to labs and discussion group assignments; supporting in examination development, delivery, and analysis as required or needed by the department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- The technological ability to effectively utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be willing to learn to use software programs required by the position.
- Experience with calculator, fax, copy machine and telephone operation.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff and other contacts.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful, but not required
Required Qualifications
Education: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. AA Degree, and/or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Experience: 2-3 years clerical/office experience. Experience with various Microsoft Office software products. Good computer experience. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to quickly learn medical terminology and the correct spelling of medical terms. Advanced knowledge of scheduling and database management.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree highly preferred.
