Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $60,008.00 Annually
Maximum $62,004.80 Annually

Job Summary
Health Outcomes Fellow
1. Adhere to fellowship guidelines as described in the Fellowship Outline document.
2. Participate in the research project led by departmental faculty.
3. Promote, by precept and example, a general atmosphere within the College of respect for knowledge, thought, and inquiry.
4. Participate in departmental meetings and projects as appropriate.
5. Contribute to teaching in courses in conjunction with departmental faculty.
6. Support the organizational goals and objectives of the College of Pharmacy and Western University of Health Sciences.
7. Concurrent appointment in the COPs Post-Doctoral Training Program is required for this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:
1. Ability to communicate effectively both with groups and individuals.
2. Ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty, and staff.
3. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION: Ph.D. or Pharm.D. degree required must be licensed in California (or attain a license during the fellowship, the timeline is described in the residency/fellowship handbook).
2. EXPERIENCE: Desirable but not essential.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to those individuals with previous residency or equivalent clinical training.
