Pasadena City College is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our Facilities Services team as Custodians. This role is essential in supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and campus visitors.
About the Position
Custodians are responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of campus buildings and facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas. This position plays a key role in maintaining the day-to-day appearance and sanitation of the college.
Possible Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (8% Sundown shift premium added to base)
- Monday through Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (5% Swing shift premium added to base)
- Shift placement based on business needs.

Typical Duties Include:
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors
- Clean and restock restrooms
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles
- Wash windows, walls, and glass surfaces
- Assist with setup and takedown of furniture for events
- Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Prior custodial experience preferred
- Ability to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform manual labor
