Data Scientist
Job Summary
Identifies trends and problems through complex big data analysis. Interprets results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.
Responsibilities
Designs, develops and implements the most valuable solutions for the organization. Prepares big data, implements data models and develops database and web applications to support the solutions.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance; the ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner. Basic understanding of statistical analysis. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required
Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required
Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.
Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6-8 years of related experience in the field or related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
