Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: 70,000 Annually
Maximum 76,500 Annually

Job Summary
Provide professional level support to the Classification and Compensation Area which will include support with: Position Descriptions and Projects, Data Clean-up, Communication Development, Working with Vendors, Policies, Procedures, SharePoint, and Other Duties as Assigned.


Please note: At the end of this appointment, there is a possibility of extension or conversion to full-time probationary.

Strong analytical and research skills; ability to gather, evaluate, interpret, and
consistently apply a wide variety of complex regulations, policies, and procedures to
develop well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations.
Initiative in independently planning, organizing, and performing work assignments within broadly defined parameters.
Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
Subject matter knowledge in compensation and classification.
Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Excel
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to create reports or collaborate with others to get needed data.
Professional demeanor and positive attitude to interact with a multitude of campus constituents and vendors.
Ability to utilize professional judgment when making decisions.

Ability to draft compensation and classification guidelines, create draft communications to the campus constituents, and provide training on compensation and classification subject matters.

Required Qualifications
Three years of progressively responsible professional/*analytical experience required (preferably in a Human Resources office).
*Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform analytical studies and research using basic math and statistical calculations, and preparing reports with excellent written, oral communications, and interviewing skills. Advanced skills in Excel are required for this position.




Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer work experience in higher education in a Human Resources Office. Prefer experience using HRIS systems such as PeopleAdmin and Banner. Prefer experience using project management software and creating workflows. Prefer 5 years of Compensation Analyst experience including work experience in higher education in a Human Resources Office. Prefer experience using HRIS systems such as PeopleAdmin and Banner. Prefer experience using project management software and creating workflows.
