The Senior Program Coordinator plans, develops, and oversees short term programs that will lead to personal enrichment and/or professional development for community youth and adults. Recruits, onboards, and supports instructors alongside the Manager, Community Education. Facilitates the successful launch of assigned programs by securing necessary approvals and providing relevant resources for marketing initiatives. Regularly assesses and refines programs through data analysis and input from connected organizations and partners.This role supports the expansion of Spanish-language programs to increase access for Spanish-speaking communities by identifying qualified instructors and programs for Spanish-language instruction, addressing the distinct needs of each program's audience through tailored solutions, and collaborating with College departments and local organizations to expand resources and learning opportunities.

Department Operations and Procedures (45%)
Plans, develops, and oversees short term programs within assigned areas.
Recruits, onboards, and supports instructors, ensuring adequate resources to achieve teaching and learning excellence. Provides individual student support and classroom management as needed.
Tracks enrollment in assigned programs, communicates additional marketing needs, evaluates financial requirements, reviews student feedback, and decides inclusion of program in future semesters.
Manages implementation of scholarship, grant, and other financial opportunities for relevant programs. Reports on fund dispersal to granting institutions and College offices.
Obtains appropriate licensing, certification, and approval of current and future programs from recognized boards and agencies empowered to establish and ensure training standards are met and maintained. Aligns offerings with College policies.
Maintains knowledge of all College policies, procedures, and appropriate technology systems to inform, evaluate, and update internal processes.
Strategic Leadership and Planning (30%)
Analyzes audience needs in the region, researches current education providers, determines viability within department, and selects relevant curriculum or pertinent source of curriculum design.
Benchmarks current and developing programs while maintaining knowledge of training best practices in each assigned program area.
Conducts evaluations of student aspirations to inform creation of additional programs.
Evaluates department systems, policies, and procedures to better the use of products, services, tools, and platforms to support progress towards goals.
Tracks and reports progress towards established department goals.
Project Leadership (25%)
Establishes and upholds partnerships with relevant entities connected to current and planned programs. Offers direct engagement opportunities where applicable to assist students with advancing personal and professional goals.
Spearheads student recruitment through Information Sessions, representation at pertinent campus and community events, establishing and maintaining connections for direct advertising, and advising department-wide marketing strategies.
Creates content for print and web advertising each semester, offers applicable access to department documentation, and provides feedback from related stakeholders.
Represents department on internal and external committees, boards, and professional organizations upholding college values to represent the department and institution as a quality, equitable learning resource.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a similar professional environment (higher education, training, youth/adult community programming, etc.) with demonstrated success in creating and executing educational events.
Skills: Spanish and English language fluency. Proficient in using computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate effectively. Experienced in fostering partnerships with internal staff and external organizations. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse staff levels and external agencies. Demonstrated success in working with individuals and teams from varied backgrounds. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail and the capacity to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desired Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Nonprofit/Business Management, or related field.
A minimum of three years of experience in education, including expertise in teaching, curriculum development, external relations, event planning, research methods, and financial management.
One or more years of teaching and/or supervisory experience.

Pay
$57,800 - $61,500/year
