Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Practice and Game-Day Support:
- Assist the Head and Assistant Coaches during team practices and training sessions.
- Support practice setup, timing, and equipment needs.
- Help facilitate drills and player development as directed by coaching staff.
- Provide game-day setup and breakdown assistance (e.g., benches, signage, equipment).
Administrative and Technical Tasks:
- Perform data entry related to team rosters, stats, and attendance logs.
- Assist with game and practice videography, including setup and basic video editing.
- Maintain accurate records and support as directed by coaching staff.
Media and Communications:
- Support social media engagement by capturing content and preparing posts aligned with team branding.
- Coordinate with the department's Communication Coordinator for match-day updates and highlights.
- Help organize media folders, tagging, and archiving for program use.
Other Duties:
- Attend staff meetings and planning sessions as requested.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality in all assigned duties.
- Promote a positive team culture and represent the program in alignment with institutional values.
Required Qualifications:
- Interest in coaching, athletic administration, or sports media.
- Basic familiarity with sport and willingness to learn coaching terminology and methods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation:
Volunteer - This position is unpaid but provides valuable experience in intercollegiate athletics.
Schedule:
Hours will vary based on the athletic calendar, with evening and weekend availability preferred.
