The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and be board-certified or board-eligible upon completion of both an ACGME-accredited residency in dermatology and a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.

Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in Mohs surgery and reconstruction and to building a nationally or internationally recognized career in academic dermatologic surgery. Teaching responsibilities may include didactics and bedside dermatologic surgery instruction to our world-class residents, fellows, and medical students. We seek enthusiastic candidates who are dedicated to teaching.

Clinical responsibilities may include Mohs and reconstructive surgery in our ambulatory practices in Philadelphia or Penn Medicine Radnor. Candidates will benefit from a busy surgical practice and an extensive infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities and a large support staff of nurses, histotechnicians, research fellows, and coordinators. Our Mohs surgeons use immunostains for melanoma and other rare tumors, and we mentor candidates to develop these skills. We seek candidates who demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, professionalism, and commitment to our team.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include publishing and lecturing about advances to prevent and treat skin cancer. Faculty enjoy extensive support with research fellows, statisticians, and regulatory coordinators for research or clinical trials. Candidates will accelerate their careers with our team-based approach to research.
