In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $69,000.00 Annually
Maximum $71,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
In collaboration with the Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences, this role serves as the primary operational point of contact for the Chair and works closely with the Offices of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and external partners to support and advance clinical education goals.
The position is responsible for overseeing and managing the third- and fourth-year curriculum for students in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and directing the Year 3 and Year 4 Rotation Coordinators, as well as the Clinical Relations Coordinator, including task delegation and project oversight
- Collaborating in the development and refinement of core third- and fourth-year clinical rotation sites
- Partnering with the Clinical Relations team to support the enrollment and retention of clinical preceptors
- Coordinating with other departments that contribute to Year 3, Year 4, and clinical relations aspects of the WesternU CVM curriculum

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs; ability to format documents and utilize internet-based tools as required by the position.

- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and external contacts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree (BA or BS) required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered if it provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job effectively.
Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three or more years of administrative experience.
- Two years of experience working in a medical environment.
- Two years of experience in an academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred.
