Job Summary
The Annual Giving team in Advancement at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Project Coordinator! This role is responsible for helping secure new, recurring, and upgraded gifts under the $25,000 level in support of key performance indicators.
Under the guidance of the Director of Annual Giving - Broad-based Fundraising, this position supports the management of Annual Giving's internal partnerships in fulfillment of broad-based and multi-channel fundraising campaigns. Through close collaboration with school, college, and unit (SCU) Advancement teams, student groups, staff and faculty, this position will contribute to fundraising efforts that highlight the breadth of philanthropic opportunities at CU Boulder to a wide audience of alumni and other constituents. This is an entry-level role meant to provide a pathway for a successful career in fundraising and relationship management.

The Annual Giving team is a centralized team on the CU Boulder campus focused on creating and driving fundraising strategies supporting the acquisition and retention of entry-level and mid-level donors and moving donors through the major gift continuum. This team prioritizes the ethical collection and use of data to support operations built on best-practices and champions a donor-first philosophy towards the solicitation of donors giving gifts of less than $25,000 in support of the short and long-term priorities of CU Boulder.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Campus Support
- Manages the campus-wide crowdfunding program, including identifying campaign opportunities and supporting those projects from inception to completion.
- Maintains working relationships with campus partners to facilitate affinity-based fundraising opportunities.
- Supports multi-channel annual giving campaigns that incorporate segmented content and/or audiences based on SCU affiliation.
- Supervises industry trends related to community fundraising and documents opportunities to implement standard processes at CU Boulder.
- Participates in the implementation of the agreed-upon baseline on Annual Giving activities that are shared across CU, as described within the Annual Giving Memorandum of Understanding.
- Collaborates with colleagues across Advancement to achieve a cohesive approach to annual giving strategies and processes.
- Supports the pursuit of CU Boulder's Annual Giving key performance indicators.
- Under the guidance of the Director of Annual Giving - Broad-based Fundraising, reviews the effectiveness of Annual Giving programs and make suggestions for modifications and improvements.
- Requests and manipulates data to provide lists, segments, analysis, and reports to support campus projects.
- Ensures the on-time and accurate delivery of data files and reports to internal and external partners as necessary.
- Supports the development and distribution of regular reports that enable Annual Giving and Advancement leadership to monitor, review, and celebrate fundraising activities.
- Assists CU Boulder Annual Giving with data-driven decisions and analysis.
What You Should Know
- This a remote position that will travel to campus several times a year for on-site events, project needs or other unforeseen circumstances.
- This position will occasionally be required to work evenings/weekends.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $59,000 annually.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
