What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a part-time Keston Digitization Specialist to support ongoing efforts to preserve and provide access to archival materials from The Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society. This position plays a key role in advancing the Center's mission through digitization initiatives and collaboration with library and archival staff. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of accuracy, initiative, and a commitment to careful handling of historical materials in a digital environment.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of 8/31/2026.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
What You Will Do
- Receive or pick up materials from The Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society and inventory
- Digitize at a variety of workstations in the RDC
- Manage materials and digital files generated during digitization
- Record basic metadata from the physical materials into project spreadsheet
- Update Keston Center Director on digitization progress and project milestones
- Check items against inventory sheet when they are picked up or returned to the Keston archive
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
