What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a part-time Keston Digitization Specialist to support ongoing efforts to preserve and provide access to archival materials from The Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society. This position plays a key role in advancing the Center's mission through digitization initiatives and collaboration with library and archival staff. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of accuracy, initiative, and a commitment to careful handling of historical materials in a digital environment.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of 8/31/2026.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

What You Will Do

Receive or pick up materials from The Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society and inventory
Digitize at a variety of workstations in the RDC
Manage materials and digital files generated during digitization
Record basic metadata from the physical materials into project spreadsheet
Update Keston Center Director on digitization progress and project milestones
Check items against inventory sheet when they are picked up or returned to the Keston archive
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
