Job Summary
The Enrollment Management division of CU Boulder invites applications for the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications! This role serves as a strategist and content producer for Enrollment Management (EM) visit experience marketing and communications and is the liaison to the EM Visitor Experience team. The purpose of this position is to support the goals of the EM Visitor Experience team by creating and implementing comprehensive marketing plans and tactics aimed at attracting, registering, and engaging prospective students and families throughout the full visitor journey, both on-campus and virtually. This position reports to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications in Enrollment Management and collaborates closely with all members of the Enrollment Management Marketing, Communications, and Visits team and all departments and teams within the EM division. The Assistant Director also collaborates with campus partners, colleges, schools and programs to support marketing and communication efforts for their prospective student events.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Strategic Marketing & Communication Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans: Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans that support EM Visitor Experience goals and objectives.
- Cater to the entire visitor journey: Implement targeted marketing strategies to encourage desired actions within the Visitor Experience for prospective students and families from initial awareness to enrollment.
- Develop a deep understanding of the target audiences: Consider the unique needs and preferences of prospective students and families, from middle school to graduate school, and implement marketing strategies to effectively engage and resonate with each audience to encourage desired actions within the Visitor Experience journey.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards: Maintain brand consistency across all Visitor Experience marketing materials. Serve as a guardian of the CU Boulder brand identity within Enrollment Management.
- Manage day-to-day content development: Write, design, and build marketing and communication content-including emails, presentations, hand-outs, and web content. Ensure timely and successful execution and measurement of event marketing and communications content across a wide range of media using a variety of systems including CRM and content management.
- Implement inclusive language practices: Apply inclusive language standard processes across all marketing and communications tactics.
- Embed guest-centric principles into marketing and communications: Foster a culture of hospitality, excellence, and continuous improvement across all marketing and communications strategic plans and tactics.
- Visitor Experience team liaison: Work collaboratively with the visitor experience team and the recruitment marketing and communications team to align critical communications and marketing tactics. Attend meetings and events as needed.
- Collaborate with the EM Senior Scholarship Advisor: Develop engaging, student-centered financial aid and scholarship presentations for prospective students, families, and community partners.
- Present a unified EM message and experience to the target audiences: Partner closely with the other Assistant Directors of Marketing and Communications on the EM Marketing, Communications and Visits team to ensure a seamless implementation of marketing and communication strategies. Orchestrate tactic timing through shared calendars and scrum meetings.
Campus Partner Strategic Marketing & Communication Planning & Support
- Serve as an Enrollment Management marketing and communications liaison to campus partners, colleges and schools: Demonstrate care and inclusion in managing relationships across the university's organizational structure. Collaborate with key partners to develop prospective student campus visit marketing and communication strategies and tactics.
- College, school and department campaign analysis: Provide visit campaign analysis support to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Enrollment Management. Aid in generating campaign reports and strategic recommendations to enhance campus visit conversions and meet goals and objectives effectively.
Analysis & Research
- Data analysis: Analyze campaign data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts, producing insightful reports to guide future strategies. Generate concise reports and recommendations for the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Enrollment Management, to facilitate a comprehensive analysis of campaign effectiveness.
- Leverage industry trends: Stay current on industry standard processes and market trends.

What We Can Offer
- The annual salary range for this position is $69,000 - $74,000.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
- 3 or more years of experience with marketing and communication projects and/or marketing campaigns in a creative/public relations firm, business, academic institution or nonprofit organization and 2 or more years of experience working with a customer relations management (CRM) system.
- Skills and experience working with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite products, publishing and web software.
