(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Job Summary

Manages assigned college-wide functional areas, including partnership and departmental events. Serves as a critical link between the college or department and various stakeholders including but not limited to faculty, staff, students, industry partners, K-12 partners, and alumni. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing partnerships that provide both financial support and collaborative opportunities for faculty and students. Focuses on relationship building, industry sponsorship, and implementing partnership initiatives that support academic programs and research mission within the assigned college and/or department.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Develops and leads strategic efforts of partnership activities, for assigned colleges and programs in the organization

2. Cultivates and manages prospective and current relationships with academic and industry partners

3. Facilitates the partnerships process, including coordinating committee work, overseeing continuous improvement planning, facilitating connections between industry partners and college strengths, and making connections accordingly

4. Develops college-wide policies and procedures in the areas of partnerships

5. Assists college units in the planning and implementation of partnership and sponsorship activities

6. Facilitates engagement with metro-Atlanta's top business leaders and connects those leaders with faculty, staff, Centers, and programs as appropriate

7. Leverages strategic knowledge of the college and its programs and strengths to create opportunities for leadership in the metro-Atlanta, state, and regional businesses

8. Maintains continuous contact with partners, sponsors, board members, and friends of the college

9. Responsible for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of partners and sponsors from corporations and individuals

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Five (5) years of relevant work experience including experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with different stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in an academic setting
Experience managing events
Experience with industry relations
Experience with brand awareness campaigns

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Possesses general knowledge of the University at-large
