The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for the Robert and Veronica K. Piziak Endowed Chair in Mathematics, a tenured position to begin August 1, 2026. Preference will be given to candidates at the rank of Full Professor, but exceptional candidates at the rank of Associate Professor will also be considered.
This position seeks an internationally recognized mathematics scholar with a vibrant research agenda. The ideal candidate should possess world-class expertise in a specific area of mathematics, with research that has been at the forefront of recent breakthroughs and advances in the field. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the department's research and teaching, thereby substantially enhancing the visibility and reputation of the Mathematics Department and Baylor University. We seek a collegial faculty member who will contribute positively to the department's culture of outstanding research, innovative teaching, and dedicated service to our undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in mathematics, with a sustained record of research accomplishments. Preference will be given to scholars with demonstrated success in securing external funding, in addititon to publication and scholarship in mathematics. We prefer candidates with experience in supervising and mentoring graduate students and those with demonstrated success in teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes.
