What We Are Looking For

The Prospect Research Analyst in Baylor University's Advancement division supports fundraising efforts by identifying, researching, and analyzing prospective donors to inform engagement and solicitation strategies. This role compiles and interprets data from a variety of sources, develops detailed prospect profiles, and provides actionable insights to help guide the University's philanthropic initiatives. The Analyst plays a key part in advancing Baylor's mission by equipping development teams with high-quality research to build and strengthen donor relationships.

This position will be hybrid, but candidate must live in the greater Waco area.

A Bachelor's degree is required. A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Develop tools, and resources to be successful in identifying, reporting on, tracking, segmenting, and analyzing prospects and donors to meet annual and long-term University fundraising objectives
  • Conduct expert level research of prospects and donors
  • Write high quality, comprehensive profiles and tailored briefings using information from university records, publicly available information, and subscription resources on major gift donors and other prospects
  • Support the needs of the Office of the President, the Vice President of University Advancement, front-line development officers, deans, and other university leaders- both proactively and in response to specific requests
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
