Job Description

The Temporary Research Assistant will support ongoing projects in the Data Management (DM) Work Group within Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics and the Medical Ethics and Health Policy Department. The research assistant must have knowledge of data management systems and practices and experience with collaborating on projects involving complex data and/or regulatory guidelines. This is a part time position.

The Research Assistant will contribute to three projects: 1) Creating a robust data catalog system for all physical data housed in Health Policy, 2) Organize and collaborate with the Data Management (DM) workgroup to build a centralized research data repository, and 3) Assist with Data Management content management through Penn+Box and/or CHIBE web hosting.

In addition to these projects, the research assistant will attend data management meetings, provide detailed updates, edit content, inventory data, and implement data management processes, informatics solutions and database design with oversight from the Project Manager and DM workgroup. Comprehensive training will be provided by the manager to ensure success in this role.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
