Job Description:
Madison College's Dining Services department is seeking a Food Services Associate to join their team at the Goodman South campus and collaborate with our student and faculty diners, focusing on executing services, initiatives, projects, and events for Madison College Dining Services.
The Food Services Associate, who reports to the Goodman South Dining Services Lead will play a key role in creating innovative menu ideas and service strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities include customer service at the highest level, safe food handling, working as barista, informed decision-making, fostering customer relationships, and supplying data to department heads about daily operations. This position does not have any direct reports.
This is a 40-hour-per-week position for 38-weeks during the academic year, with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday during standard operational hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. No evening or weekend hours are required.

Accountabilities:
- Ensures high-quality food & beverage service by maintaining consistency in preparation and adhering to standardized recipes.
- Maintains compliance with health and safety standards by overseeing proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Upholds a clean and organized service environment by ensuring regular sanitation of equipment and workstations.
- Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential.
- Adheres to college policies, directives and work rules while maintaining a commitment to the college's mission, vision and values.
- Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of retail sales operations such as operating a point-of-sale system.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation and safety regulations.
- Ability to accurately handle financial transactions, reconcile cash drawers and maintain financial records.
- Ability to manage multiple processes, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistency.
- Ability to provide effective customer service and resolve concerns.
- Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
- Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School or equivalent additional work experience
- 0-2 years of relevant working experience
- Ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification during the onboarding process
