Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a

FYE Instructor
position. This is a part-time, faculty, union, exempt, and non benefits-eligible position. FYE stands for

First Year Experience
. The specific course this role will teach in Fall term is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Teach college level human development and college success courses.

AUXILIARY FUNCTIONS:
May provide assistance to other department personnel as workload and staffing levels dictate. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

Qualifications

MINIMUM/MANDATORY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work, or a Master's degree in a related field with 27 quarter credits (18 semester hours) of graduate level counseling courses.
Teaching experience at a college level.
Evidence of ability to present, collaborate and work with diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.
Demonstrated ability to provide and develop retention counseling strategies.
Demonstrated ability to provide personal and career counseling and guidance.
Demonstrated ability to document case progress and clinical case notes.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Evidence of a teaching practice that is grounded in current theories and human development.
Evidence of commitment to teaching as a profession and to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, and energy in the classroom.
Evidence of a respectful and positive attitude towards students and of the ability to motivate them to succeed.
Ability to speak a second language.
Bi-cultural background.
Experience working in a community college environment.
Clinical counseling experience.

Terms of Employment

This position will be eligible to work remotely up to (2) days per week in accordance with the CCC policy.
All positions at CCC are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college and requires a flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

CCC employees must reside within 50 miles of Oregon City, Harmony or Wilsonville campus as a condition of employment.
