Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Assistant Director of Student Involvement is
responsible for providing support to student media groups (newspaper, radio station and
yearbook) and multicultural registered student organizations specifically; supports the
office's leadership programming generally; and implements and supports major OSI events
and late-night programming.
The Assistant Director in collaboration with the Student Government Association, advises
and supports a variety of social media outlets, including The Spire student newspaper,
WCHC student radio station, and the Purple Patcher yearbook.
The assistant director is responsible for liaising with campus partners and key stakeholders;
student and club advising; event management; space management; budget management;
risk management; marketing and communications; and assessment.
The assistant director must demonstrate an ability to deliver high quality work; work
effectively as part of a team; maintain a commitment to holistic student development; have
strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be able to foster strong relationships with
campus partners. The assistant director must also demonstrate an ability to approach their
work in a manner consistent with the College's identity as a Jesuit, Catholic, liberal arts
college in a residential setting. Major Areas of Responsibility
Subject Matter Expertise
works to support the office's leadership programming, major events, and late-night
programming with a specific focus on supporting the Multicultural Student Organizations.o Student-supported media
Serves as the business contact for student-supported media, including the
student newspaper, yearbook, and radio station
Liaises with their faculty advisors to ensure compliance with college
expectations and federal regulations
Works the Associate Director of OSI, faculty and staff advisors, to provide
appropriate training and maintains relevant documentation
o Major Multicultural Student Organization events and weekend late-night
programming
Works with the SGA recognized multicultural student organizations to plan
and implement significant events (i.e., fashion shows, festivals, and
performances).
Works with the Assistant Dean/Director and other staff in OSI to plan and
implement major events and late-night programmingSupervision

Additional information:This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $53,000-$58,000 with an Application deadline of Friday, September 19, 2025.
