St. Catherine University invites applications for a Student Services Specialist - Records and Registration in the Registrar Operations department.

The purpose of this position is to provide expert support to students regarding registration, student records, degree verifications, enrollment certifications, and attendance tracking. This position must have a sufficient amount of cross-functional knowledge to answer all general (80%) questions related to these topics. This position is also responsible for both ongoing and project-based work assigned by the Registrar.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Act as the main student resource for registration. This work includes student support with registration errors, special registrations, and management of registration PINs, all while ensuring that students are taking courses that apply to their program and are in compliance with academic policies. Collaboration with academic advisors, faculty mentors and program directors will be crucial.
  • Manage student data and make changes efficiently and accurately.
    • Leave of absence/withdrawal requests for all students, ensuring compliance with academic policies and federal regulations
    • Cancellation or deferral of registration
    • Translation issues between Slate & Banner
    • Change of major/minor/certificate forms
    • Change of grad programs
    • Change of coding when admitted to their program or major
    • Change of applicable catalog forms
    • Process Enrollment Verifications
    • Act as contact for Financial Aid audits and enrollment tracking.
    • Complete athletic reporting paperwork to ensure student-athletes are compliant with MIAC academic eligibility requirements
    • Active confirmation management


  • Assist all constituencies in an efficient, professional, calm, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that all constituencies receive excellent, accurate, and prompt service.
  • Refer customers as needed to members of the Registrar's Office or other offices.
  • Answer all phone calls to front desk and respond to messages in a timely manner.
  • Manage academic appeal process, including form tracking, research and communication.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Two years' professional experience in an academic administrative office or similar, with preference for experience in higher education.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is $44,000 - $49,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
