St. Catherine University invites applications for a Project Coordinator for Student Engagement & Leadership in the Student Center/Activities department.

The Project Coordinator for Student Engagement & Leadership is a key member of the Campus Life team, responsible for supporting high-impact programs and initiatives that foster community, belonging, and student leadership across campus. Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Engagement and Leadership Development, this role will focus on the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of student-centered programs.
The Project Manager plays a key role in creating an inclusive and vibrant student experience by supporting day-to-day operations within the Campus Life Office, Information Center, and Campus Life Desk. This position provides direct oversight of student employees.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate student employees working at the Information Center and Campus Life Desk.
  • Promote inclusive and accessible customer service practices among student staff.
  • Manage daily operations including Metro Transit pass distribution, locker rentals, information desk inquiries, lost and found, and student resource services.
  • Maintain systems, logs, and inventory tracking for both desks.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and campus partners to ensure the Coeur de Catherine Student Center is maintained as a vibrant, student-centered space.
  • Co-supervise, train, develop and perform evaluation for student orientation leaders (OL)
  • Lead planning and execution of campus-wide events in collaboration with campus partners.
  • Develop detailed project timelines, communications plans, and evaluation strategies for events.
  • Coordinate logistics, budgets, and vendor partnerships for assigned events in alignment with institutional policies and values.
  • Co advise student clubs and organizations, providing guidance on event planning, budgeting, and leadership development.
  • Support and mentor student leaders from diverse backgrounds with a focus on identity-conscious leadership and inclusive practices.
  • Assist with administration, logistics, and documentation related to club registration, training, club purchases, and ongoing compliance.
  • Serve as liaison and administrative support for the College For Adults (CFA) Board and Graduate Board, coordinating meetings, materials, communications, and student engagement.
  • Facilitate leadership development programming and workshops for student leaders in alignment with Campus Life's inclusive excellence model.
  • Provide coaching and advising to club executive boards, senators, and orientation leaders in partnership with professional staff.
  • Collaborate on department-wide initiatives and shared responsibilities within Campus Life and Residential Life, including:
    • Communications and marketing for assigned programs
    • Data collection and reporting on student engagement outcomes
    • Budget tracking for assigned events and initiatives


  • Ensure that all events and student engagement initiatives center on equity, access, and universal design.
  • Use inclusive practices when advising students, managing logistics, and making decisions.
  • Partner with cultural organizations and identity-based groups to amplify diverse voices in programming.
  • Represent Campus Life on institutional committees or working groups related to student experience.
  • Provide on-site event support, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Participate in expedited responses as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, project management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in student programming, event planning, or higher education leadership.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with college students, especially in a leadership or advisory capacity.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in higher education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and/or student engagement platforms.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is $42,000 - $47,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
