Job Summary
The Parking Services Enforcement Team at CU Boulder invites applications for a Parking Enforcement Specialist. This position is responsible for enforcement of all campus parking lots, loading docks and service parking spaces on campus. The Enforcement Specialists determine if the vehicles on campus have the appropriate credentials for where they are parked to ensure efficient campus operations. The Parking Services Department utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) software by Genetec, Inc., and AIMS Campus Permit Software by EDC Corp. CU Parking Services provides on-the-job training for all software and other systems used by the Enforcement Team. This position works with and supports all Parking Services units. Additionally, this position acts as a Parking Services "ambassador" through daily interactions with campus partners and constituents while fulfilling the job duties across campus. This position has access to a University vehicle, radio, cell phone, body camera and laptop while working on campus to fulfill the enforcement functions required. Parking Services (PS) is a department within the Auxiliary Services unit of Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) at the University of Colorado Boulder. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Patrol University grounds for parking infractions and other issues that impede ingress and egress routes. This includes reviewing parking credentials and issuing citations. Support departmental operations by collection data on parking lot occupancy and resource usage through various media.
- Ensure minimal impact to campus operations through support of Facilities, Events and other departmental units working with campus event coordinators, contractors, and project managers.
- Setup and maintain equipment for special events. This includes the opportunity for any non-routine enforcement for events where the incumbent will assist with the traffic direction, payment collection, or the verification of VIP credentials.
- Fields questions and comments from campus constituents and visitors regarding parking regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for conveying protocols and personnel assignments for special events. In addition, the incumbent also communicates with vehicle owners regarding infractions and suggested remedies. The incumbent also works with appropriate campus resources to resolve issues beyond their control.
- Responds to emergent needs as directed by department needs. This may also include collaboration with University Police to facilitate safety concerns for the campus and public good.

- This position is an in-person, on campus position. The work schedule is four (4) 10 hour shifts.
- This position requires a valid Colorado driver's license (no special endorsements needed).
