The Clerkship & Residency Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Internal Medicine and Sub-Internship Clerkships and the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The coordinator ensures that these programs are well organized and remain in compliance with LCME standards and ACGME accreditation requirements.

30% - Provides supervision of the medical students throughout their training experience, including but not limited to managing the students schedules; acting as a liaison between residents, providers and the medical students; evaluating the students' performance based on input from these parties; addressing any behavioral issues that may arise; and evaluating the students' performance based on input from these parties.

10% - Plan, organize and implement administrative aspects of the medical student training, including development of promotional materials, and an orientation program for new students, to ensure that the clerkship informs students of expectations while in the rotation and during their third- and fourth-year clerkships.

30% - Responsible for ensuring that educational programs for Department of Medicine residents and fellows are well-organized, effectively coordinated, and continuously monitored for compliance with requirements set by the medical center, GME office, and ACGME. The coordinator partners with and supports an Associate Program Director in managing key components of the program, including, but not limited to, recruitment, evaluations, the Primary Care Track, and/or program didactics.

10% - Collaborates with other coordinators in the Internal Medicine Residency Program to ensure cross coverage and shared training in core administrative responsibilities. Duties include program data reporting, event planning and coordination, preparing and compiling meeting minutes, and managing program communications.

10% - Documents and reports information regarding the status of the medical student and residency programs to senior leaders at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Department of Medicine.

10% - General office management duties such as ordering supplies, coordinating maintenance of equipment, distribution of mail, etc.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience.
