Job Summary:
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant interested in inpatient glucose management care on an as needed basis. The APP will interface with the Endocrinology consult team and work as a collaborative team member on the Glucose Management Team at the University of Colorado Hospital. Clinical care includes direct patient care, clinical follow-up, lab review and other duties. Knowledge of intensive diabetes management (including multiple daily insulin injections, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, noninsulin therapies, and medical nutrition therapy) will be required in this position.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Adjoint Instructor (Academic):
- Certified PA or NP or CNS from an accredited program with prescriptive authority.
- Must be board certified by a national professional PA or nursing organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- APRN diploma/certificate with prescriptive authority from an accredited post-basic nursing master's level nursing practitioner or CNS program with at least 1 year of diabetes and/or endocrinology clinical experience.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$750 per 10-hour inpatient session
The above pay rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
