Adjunct Faculty: Video Production (Spring 2026)
Dates/Days: January 2026 - May 2026
Location: Lynn campus
SALARY: Minimum salary is $1,397 per credit hour. Actual salary is commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.
The Division of Liberal Arts invites applications in the following area - MDA 211 - TV Production: Streaming Technology, Podcast and Field Production
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Applications are being accepted to create a pool of qualified instructors for possible future part-time teaching positions. Applications will be reviewed and interviews scheduled continuously on an as-needed basis. All applications remain on file for one year from the submission date.
Teach in-person in the Video Production program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create and implement individual lesson plans and assessments according to the Program's syllabi.
- Assess and grade students regarding course objectives and submit accurate grade and attendance records to the Division.
- Administer end-of-term course evaluations and participate in evaluation meetings with the Director as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director and other instructors as needed to develop and align lessons and ensure smooth level transitions.
- Establish a welcoming and respectful learning environment that fosters active student participation and a culture of high expectations.
- Adhere to general College and Program policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- A master's degree in video production or a closely related field is required or a Bachelor and at least 6 years of full-time work in the industry with verifiable progressive responsibilities documented.
- Ability to teach face to face video production courses on the Lynn or Danvers campus.
- Familiarity with Video Production Best practises and a working understanding of live streaming equipment, including cameras, microphones, capture devices, network bonding, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), video switchers, audio mixing and routing, lighting implements, and encoders.
- Ability to teach non-linear editing software (Premiere Pro and related adobe products)
- Adhere to general College and Program policies and procedures.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment at both the college and the respective high school.
