CAL Network Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinates collaborative learning, engagement, and storytelling activities across the Critical Action Lab (CAL) network. Supports development of youth-centered initiatives by facilitating distributed team communication, aligning network activities with program goals, and amplifying learning and success stories across sites. Applies systems thinking and strong relationship management and communication skills to maintain the integrity of CAL's existing programming while supporting its expansion. Collaborates with Lab Directors, Partners, and Fellows to ensure consistent delivery of programming and alignment with educational and social impact objectives.

Responsibilities
Collaborative Network Facilitation
Coordinates communication and activity alignment across CAL sites through shared calendars, check-ins, and planning systems.
Organizes and facilitates regular meetings with Lab Fellows and Partners to ensure goal alignment and address emerging needs.
Tracks program activities and benchmarks in alignment with CAL's operational and learning goals. Instructional & Engagement Support
Consults with Lab Partners and Fellows to surface needs, provide logistical support, and troubleshoot challenges in implementation.
Coordinates shared tools and platforms for remote and asynchronous collaboration across sites. Supports the integration of youth engagement strategies into program planning and delivery. Story Development & Content Management
Identifies and curates impactful stories, quotes, and visuals that showcase CAL activities and reflect core values.
Collaborates with Lab Directors to refine and elevate storytelling products for reporting, communication, and evaluation use.
Maintains a centralized archive of storytelling assets for cross-functional use. Evaluation & Measurement Coordination
Coordinates data collection processes (e.g., surveys, reflections, documentation of program outputs) in partnership with internal and external evaluators.
Synthesizes qualitative and quantitative data into summaries and insights to inform program development and institutional reporting.
Supports continuous improvement by aligning measurement findings with network practices and goals. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Builds cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners supporting CAL's mission.
Coordinates with other departments and teams contributing to youth engagement, instructional innovation, and social impact initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology or related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). 2-4 years experience in instructional technology, preferably in an online education environment required. Knowledge of learning theory with the ability to apply the theory into practice; excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; familiarity with a variety of software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, and DVD Authoring tools; strong editing skills; ability to work both individually and in a team setting.

Master's degree in a related field may be preferred.

Preferences
Previous network coordination and youth development experience preferred.

Work Schedule Summary: Network meetings are held the first Sunday morning of the month and the following Monday evening for 90 minutes each. Two hour monthly partner meetings are held the first Tuesday morning of each month. Weekly admin/design check-ins take place on Tuesday mornings. All other work may be completed flexibly throughout the week provided deadlines are met.
