The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC.
The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) at Western Carolina University (WCU) is growing! An Academic Advisor plays a vital role in supporting the College of Engineering & Technology (CET) by guiding students towards graduation success. CET advisors serve as the primary points of contact for first-year students during enrollment, offer ongoing academic advising to all CET students, and collaborate with other staff and faculty within and outside of the college.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship or any immigration-related assistance.
- Masters Degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an academic advisor in an undergraduate setting.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Banner.
