The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), housed at Georgetown University, invites applications for the position of Executive Director of ACUNS. The contract will run from the date of hire through December 31, 2028. Salary is $85,000-100,000, exclusive of benefits. Duties include providing strategic leadership in cooperation with the ACUNS Board of Directors, overseeing day to day operations of ACUNS, and organizing the ACUNS Annual Meeting. The ACUNS Executive Director will report to the President and CEO of ACUNS.

The ACUNS Executive Director, is also expected to teach three courses per year at Georgetown University: two in the fall, and one in the spring, including the undergraduate lecture course, "International Organization." Other courses may cover topics related to conflict & conflict resolution, multilateralism & international cooperation, international environmental politics, international law, and/or international ethics. The candidate will also advise and mentor International Politics (IPOL) majors concentrating in International Institutions, Law, and Ethics.

For teaching, advising, and administrative work at Georgetown, the candidate will report to the SFS Vice-Dean for Undergraduate Affairs. For their work with Georgetown, the Executive Director will receive a non-tenure-line (NTL) faculty appointment and title of Assistant Professor of the Practice in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
