What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Part-Time Senior Research Engineer in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. The Senior Research Engineer plays a pivotal role in advancing SMART Hub's impact across the defense spectrum innovation space and expanding to other stakeholders. This position focuses on three core responsibilities: (1) assisting military, government, and industry stakeholders in understanding and applying SMART Hub technologies to mission needs; (2) coaching and supporting SMART Hub's 25 research professors in preparing clear, informative presentations and technical demonstrations for periodic DoD engagements; and (3) tracking emerging DoD priorities, programs, and funding opportunities to help grow and establish SMART Hub as a Department of Defense Spectrum Innovation Center, and to align SMART Hub research with present and future defense needs.

A Doctoral degree and ten years of relevant work experience are required. A Doctoral degree and more than ten years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

Assist military, government, and industry stakeholders in understanding and applying SMART Hub technologies to mission needs

Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
