CU Presents encourages applications for a Box Office Services Coordinator! This role is responsible for managing the night-of-show operations, group sales, and patron services for all CU Presents productions (including the Artist Series, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, CU Opera, Musical Theatre, Holiday Festival, Takacs Quartet, and Department of Theatre and Dance). Duties include supervising the night-of-show box office staff and resolving night-of-show ticketing issues with a high level of customer support. The Coordinator is the primary facilitator of group sales, ADA services, and other patron services. They maintain and manage the night-of-show experience for patrons and provide additional box office support as needed, including back-up daytime support. This is a position which requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend availability and seasonal fluctuations in performance schedules on campus.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Manage Night-of-Show Box Office
This position ensures smooth night-of-show operations for both digital and in-person events and is responsible for supervising student staff during night-of-show. The position plans and prepares appropriate night-of-show materials and policies, supervises operations during events, and reconciles, reports and documents any night-of-show incidents after the event. During night-of-show, the Coordinator is responsible for selling and distributing tickets, managing night of show business practices, and resolving any last-minute seating or performance emergencies. The coordinator maintains and updates software and hardware used in night-of-show operations such as laptops, ticket scanners, and ticket printers. Maintains and updates relevant night-of-show information for patrons and works with the Marketing team to send appropriate pre- and post-show communication. Manages a smooth access path and troubleshooting for digital performances. Documents all policies and procedures related to these activities.
Back-Up Box Office Manager
This position serves as a backup to the Box Office Manager and provides assistance to student box office staff as needed. This position will need to be well-versed in all the daytime functions of the box office including sales using Tessitura, customer service, box office policies, and supervising student assistants.
Manage Patron Services
The position coordinates with venues, front-of-house staff and campus offices (such as parking, police/security, Facilities Management, OIEC, EPC, and others) to ensure effective services for CU Presents events. Manages and reviews ADA compliance and disability service requests for all venues, coordinating with patrons and OIEC as necessary. Works with Advancement teams to provide appropriate recognition and fulfillment of donor/sponsor benefits. Coordinates with group attendees to provide efficient parking, ticket distribution, and other services.
Group Sales Coordinator
The position is responsible for creating and maintaining prospect lists both of historical group sale customers and potential future customers. Works with partner organizations and CUP Marketing to identify and solicit group sales targets for productions. Maintains relationships with group sales contacts, and coordinates auxiliary group needs as necessary.

- Mix of days, evenings, and weekends in accordance with the performance calendar.

The salary range for this position is $47,900 - $53,900 annually.

What We Require
- Bachelor's Degree or undergraduate work in a performing arts field or arts administration. Related experience as described below may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
- 1 year of experience that includes:
- Experience with Tessitura or other similar events-based CRM software.
- Experience working in a live performing arts or events-based venue environment.
What You Will Need
- Ability to operate independently in a night-of-show environment.
- Familiarity working within Tessitura or similar ticketing software to sell tickets and maintain customer relationships.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Available to work evening and weekend hours on a flexible schedule.
- Ability to operate independently and supervise others in a self-managed environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive suites.
- Excellent customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
