Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Allergy/Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Candidates should possess skills in natural killer cell biology, quantitative imaging and tumor microenvironment modeling. Further, they should have expertise in the lytic immunological synapse and natural killer cell deficiency.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include Initiating and conducting independent experiments without direct supervision and with minimal guidance from the principal investigator. Developing new experimental procedures and publishing research results. Collaborating and interacting with other researchers within the home research institute and at other institutions. Developing new experimental procedures and hypotheses for further investigation. Preparing manuscripts and abstracts for publication. Publishing scientific articles in refereed journals, presenting at scientific symposiums. Preparing grant proposals for external funding. Serving as resource person for colleagues and as a mentor for less experienced research personnel. Managing/supervising other research staff or projects and assisting with the management of laboratory operations.
