Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with a focus on critically ill children. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. ABP certification or board eligibility and Pennsylvania licensure required.

Teaching responsibilities may include developing systems for mentoring faculty and staff in the division to promote productive, rewarding careers and academic advancement.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical practice in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at CHOP.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include coordination of education and research in the division with the departmental research and education directors to generate scientific discovery, acquire knowledge, and promote scholarship and collaborative and/or independent research.

The division chief is responsible to the anesthesiologist-in-chief, with accountability for divisional clinical services at main and satellite campuses, including achieving the quality metrics on the divisional dashboard, faculty/staff productivity targets, and the annual budget.
