Job Summary


The Center for Technology Workforce Innovation (CTWI) welcomes applications for a Senior Program Engagement Specialist! In this role, the Specialist is responsible for planning and implementation of program participant engagement and volunteer initiatives. The Senior Program Engagement Specialist develops program strategies, goals, and processes for Aspirations in Computing. This position is highly collaborative and will work closely with the CTWI Director of Programs, CTWI staff and team members, volunteers, academic and industry partners, participants, parents and others.

Who We Are


The CTWI is a coalition of more than 1,600 corporations, universities, and non-profits working to increase participation in the technology ecosystem through innovative programs and research. It is prominent on the national computing landscape and has raised over $28 million in NSF grants, as well as considerable corporate gifts. The CTWI organization is part of the College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado-Boulder. It spans both university staffing, financial and legal procedures, and in addition, receives funding from a non-profit 501(c)(3), to implement financial, legal, and governance procedures on its behalf.


What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Volunteer Empowerment:
  • Create and manage self-service resources that allow regional partners to lead local outreach and distribution.
  • Develop and deliver systems for volunteer empowerment including webinars, email announcements, and office hours.
  • Educate volunteers on fundraising techniques.
  • Lead training to volunteer teams to ensure consistency across regions.
  • Develop structures for high-volume efficacy in regional volunteer management.
  • Manage data and contact information for all volunteers.
  • Ensure volunteer compliance with policies and rules.

Student Engagement:
  • Collaborate in the execution of National and Regional level awards under the strategic direction of the program director.
  • Maintain the program database, website, tracking systems, and records.
  • Complete program policies and processes for recruitment and judging of award applications.
  • Support award distribution and event planning.

Help Desk Support:
  • Provide excellent customer service, troubleshoot, and respond to all user requests and questions via email, ticketing system, or phone.
  • Develop knowledge guides to facilitate self-service assistance.

Systems and Portal Facilitation:
  • Manage the technical aspects of the award portal to ensure a smooth experience for applicants and reviewers.
  • Ensure data tracking and reporting.

Other:
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Stay apprised and current on relevant University and State of Colorado policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development activities and serve on unit, college or campus committees as applicable.


What You Should Know

  • This position will work standard business hours with flexibility. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work modality, consistent with the College of Engineering and Applied Science Hybrid Work Policy.
  • Candidate must have a willingness and ability to travel.


What We Can Offer


The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Three years of program and/or program management experience, preferably in non-profit.
  • Previous experience working with CTWI.


What You Will Need

  • Project management and project tracking experience.
  • Ability to meet set timelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong professional interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written).
