Job Summary


The Institute for Behavioral Genetics ((IBG) at the University of Colorado, Boulder is seeking applications for a General Administrative Professional! This temporary, part-time position will be responsible for financial transactions including travel reimbursements and reconciliations, procurement card reconciliations, and honoraria payments to individuals. The expected length of this assignment will be 6- to 8-weeks and for 20 to 24 hours per week.

Who We Are


The Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) is an organized research unit of the University of Colorado Graduate School dedicated to conducting and facilitating research on the genetic and environmental bases of individual differences in behavior. Founded in 1967, IBG is one of the top research facilities in the world for genetic research on behavior. Current research includes studies of aging, neurodegenerative disease, psychopathology, reading and learning disabilities, cognition, substance abuse, behavioral development, and evolution.


What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Specific responsibilities include collaborating with IBG Administrative staff to:
  • Request, receive and organize travel receipts and procurement-card receipts according to IBG-established administrative procedures
  • Create completed reimbursement reports in Concur and submit for approval.
  • Prepare honoraria payment requests and submit for signatures
  • Other related administrative duties as assigned.


What You Should Know


This temporary position will begin in June 2026 and end in July 2026. Work is in office, 3 days a week for 20-24 hours per week. There is flexibility for work hours between the core business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


What We Can Offer


The rate for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. A combination of education and/or related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.


What You Will Need

  • Proven organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively, in person, via email and over the phone.
  • Ability to quickly master business software applications, such as Concur and Peoplesoft.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
