Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the Information Systems programmer analyst staff by planning, assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of programmer analysts engaged in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software systems that support organizational objectives. Provides leadership for project delivery while ensuring quality, productivity, adherence to development standards, and effective customer service. Exercises first-line supervisory responsibility, including employee selection, onboarding, work assignments, coaching, mentoring, performance management, disciplinary actions, and staff development. Maintains sufficient technical expertise in all phases of systems analysis, application development, and project implementation to provide technical direction, establish development standards, resolve complex issues, and oversee successful delivery of software solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis, systems design, application development, programming, or related systems development, including experience working in web-based and cloud environments.
- Experience in project leadership, team leadership, or supervisory responsibilities is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and software development practices.
- Demonstrated experience with systems analysis, database design, software architecture, and application development.
- Experience with one or more of the following is required: Crystal Reports, SQL Server, and/or ad hoc reporting tools.
- Familiarity with modern project management and software development methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise application systems; experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or Business Objects is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical and business requirements, identify solutions, and resolve problems effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, coordinate resources, and meet competing deadlines.
- Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, or training to other technical staff is preferred.
- Experience participating in employee performance management, staff development, or other supervisory functions is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Position location is On Campus in Glen Ellyn IL

Hiring Range:
13 Salary Starting salary beginning at $84,672, based on education and experience
