Job Summary / Basic Function
Job Summary:
Provides instruction for students enrolled in Humanities/Fine Arts in the General Education and Developmental Studies Department. Must be competent to teach a broad-based humanities course introducing music, theater, and literature through film, lecture, text, and live performance. Additional duties include advising, tutoring, student counseling, mentoring and recruiting. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and summer classes on the LIT campus and at our Early College High School campuses.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
A Masters Degree in Humanities/Fine Arts or Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Humanities/Fine Arts from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Minimum Experience Required:
A working knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications is required. Official transcripts must be submitted with application.
Three years teaching at the college level required. Community college or technical college teaching experience in Humanities/Fine Arts is preferred.
