Digital History - Adjunct Instructor
SUNY Empire State University is seeking an adjunct professor to develop, teach, and provide professional development for a new online course in digital history. This fully online course would introduce students to the theories and practices of digital history. The course will also help students gain insights into the intersections between digital and traditional resources and offer them opportunities to use both sets of resources to formulate research questions and create histories of their own. Among the theories and tools to be explored are virtual exhibits, digital and traditional archives, storytelling tools, mapping technologies, computational analyses of text, and the growing role of artificial intelligence. This is not a classroom position, and it does not require residence in New York State.

- Master's degree in history (Ph.D. preferred)
Special Information:
- Compensation for developing and teaching this course for one semester comes from a special projects stipend of $6000.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. VISA sponsorship is not available for these position.
