The Ombuds Office with the University of Colorado Boulder is accepting applications for an Ombuds Program Administrator! This role performs professional level work to support the Ombuds Office. Position is responsible for budgetary, marketing, data management, intake/assessment, risk management, and outreach activities. We are seeking a strong administrative professional with a background as an office manager, coordinator, executive assistant, etc. that is looking to grow or continue their career in administrative work. This role is not an opportunity to perform Ombuds related work. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Intake and Assessment
- Assess the level of concern and uses counseling/psychology skills to assist visitors to the Ombuds Office who are often in distress.
- Consider the visitor's mental state and decide how to best help, which Ombuds to schedule them with, and when to address safety concerns.
- Develop administrative systems to ensure effective and high quality processes.
- Attend meetings with Ombuds Office staff to discuss cases and methods.
- As the first point of contact, this position also assists with risk management and de-escalation of issues.
- Serve as marketing manager and is responsible for crafting and disseminating communications via website, social media, email, campus calendar, campus newsletter, printed materials, and other marketing channels deemed appropriate.
- Draft messages to suit the intended audience while factoring in the campus climate, target audience (faculty, student, staff).
- Help analyze data to identify constituent needs.
- Operate the Salesforce data system which includes pulling reports for department needs such as annual and monthly reports.
- Budget - Assist with budgetary matters for the office including forecasting, analyzing, and making recommendations.
- Campus Outreach - Attend and present information at campus events.
- Professional Development - Attend courses and conferences to further knowledge of the field including the International Ombuds Association's Foundations Course.

What We Can Offer
The annual salary range for this full-time position is $62,300 - $70,200.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University. Experience or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree
- 2 years of professional, job-related experience in an administrative, coordinator, office manager or support role in higher education.
What You Will Need
- The Ombuds Office helps address campus-wide issues such as campus climate, racial inequity, policies with disproportionate outcomes, disability accommodations, etc. Ability to work well with the diverse groups of people bringing these concerns to our office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are needed.
- Proven verbal communication skills both in person, and over the phone.
- Good written communication is also significant in emailing with people at all levels of the university.
