Job Summary:
Eastern Washington University and the College of Health Science and Public Health invite applications for a Clinical Placement Coordinator of the School of Nursing. This position is an administrative exempt position to begin as soon as possible and is a full-time, 12-month position.

This position reports to the Director of the School of Nursing. The Clinical Placement Coordinators (CPC) primary responsibility is to secure clinical placements and oversee clinical requirements for faculty and staff.

The Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) works collaboratively with the administrative team and clinical faculty leads to plan, develop, and evaluate clinical sites, ensuring that student experiences align with nursing course objectives. Serving as the primary contact for undergraduate clinical placements, the CPC acts as the School of Nursings liaison with institutions and organizations hosting nursing students. The CPC manages all aspects of clinical placement, including agency contracts and compliance requirements for faculty and students, faculty and student orientations, and scheduling.

The salary for this position is $56,589 (minimum) up to $68,027 (maximum). Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on qualifications, education, experience, and skills.

Job Duties:
  • Serves as the EWU SON representative at Clinical Placements Northwest (CPNW).
  • Represents the EWU School of Nursing with clinical affiliates and agency personnel; maintains ongoing communication to promote strong, collaborative relationships
  • Arranges and secures clinical placements that align with student learning outcomes across the BSN program
  • Identifies and evaluates potential new clinical sites; prepares reports and recommendations for consideration.
  • Collaborates with the Director of the School of Nursing and clinical leads to prepare a master clinical schedule each semester
  • Maintains and oversees affiliation agreements with clinical sites and ensures compliance. Initiates new clinical affiliation agreements as needed.
  • Confirms and schedules all student placements with clinical faculty prior to each clinical rotation.
  • Coordinates and schedules clinical orientations for faculty and students of each cohort in accordance with clinical partners requirements.
  • Monitors student and faculty compliance with background checks and immunization requirements.
  • Designs, maintains, and regularly updates forms and informational materials to support clinical instructors and preceptors.
  • Distributes and maintains records of student and faculty evaluations of clinical sites
  • Collaborates with faculty to update clinical education policies and procedures
