Job Summary


The Engineering Career Hub Advisor - Campos Student Center & Lattice Scholars Program in the College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) will lead efforts to coordinate and develop career support, engage students in career advising and programs, and develop meaningful connections with students, staff, and faculty affiliated with the Campos Student Center and Lattice Scholars program.

This position provides individualized, Engineering-focused career advising through appointments and drop-ins with BOLD Scholars in the Campos Student Center (CSC) and Lattice Scholars. Appointments will focus on career exploration and goal setting, professional development planning (i.e. conference attendance, internship and full-time job attainment, and graduate/professional school), and building and sustaining professional networks. Finally, this position creates and facilitates engaging presentations and workshops on relevant and timely Engineering-focused career topics for Campos Student Center student societies and the broader BOLD and Lattice Scholars communities.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Career Advising and Engagement:
  • Provide Engineering Career Hub career advising for BOLD and Lattice Scholars through scheduled appointments, drop-in sessions, and group advising sessions in an in-person and virtual environment.
  • Develop and deliver Engineering Career Hub career and professional development content for engaging Lattice Scholars, BOLD Scholars, and Campos Student Center-supported student societies on Engineering Career Hub career development topics, including pre-departure preparation for student conferences.
  • Develop strategic relationships with CEAS faculty, staff, and academic advisors to deliver on key career advising outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Career Hub team, Campos Student Center, Lattice Scholars, and other CEAS staff to facilitate industry and alumni engagement opportunities.

Assessment, Data, and Professional Development:
  • Track data on student engagement, maintain contact logs, and notes from career advising appointments in alignment with the Engineering Career Hub Career Advising, Campos Student Center, and Lattice Scholars procedures.
  • Lead technology and platforms related to area of responsibility.
  • Attend Engineering Career Hub, Campos Student Center, Lattice Scholars, and other meetings with key partners at the direction of the Assistant Director of Engineering Career Hub Advising.
  • Develop professional skills and knowledge, stay current with relevant trends and practices in career advising (both general and CEAS-specific).

Additional Duties:
  • Given the changing nature of work and the Engineering Career Hub team commitment to be adaptable and innovative as the nature of our work and students' needs change, the Engineering Career Hub Advisor - Campos Student Center + Lattice Scholars will assume duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of the Engineering Career Hub Advising.


What You Should Know


The position is a temporary, 100% appointment, starting in August 2026 and runs through Fall and Spring semesters. The position may work in a hybrid modality with most working hours between 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional night hours for events.


What We Can Offer


The hire rate for this position is $27.00-$29.00 per hour.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • One year of combined professional experience related to the job duties, which may include career advising, academic advising, recruitment, teaching, counseling, K12 or community-based education, nonprofit, mentorship, STEM industry or research, human resources, business, or similar experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Meticulous, but also able to strategically optimize datasets or apply tech platforms.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement models and processes.
  • Knowledge of CU Engineering programs.
  • Experience establishing and fostering relationships with varied constituencies.
  • Experience in program coordinating.
  • Experience planning and leading events.
