What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is searching for a Lab Coordinator experienced in laboratory analysis of water, biological tissues, and soil/sediment samples using wet chemistry techniques and automated instrumentation. Skilled in instrument calibration, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), data validation, laboratory documentation, and training personnel.

A Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant work experience is required. A Master's degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

All applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.

What Will You Do

Performed chemical analyses of water, biological tissue, and soil/sediment samples for nutrients and other constituents using wet chemistry and automated laboratory instrumentation.
Operated, calibrated, and maintained analytical instruments; developed and verified instrument calibrations to ensure accurate results.
Evaluated analytical data for quality and accuracy, implementing corrective actions when quality control criteria were not met.
Applied QA/QC procedures to validate data and ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
Documented analytical procedures, quality control results, instrument issues, and corrective actions.
Prepared laboratory reagents, standards, and sample batches; maintained clean and organized laboratory workspaces.
Processed and managed environmental samples according to established laboratory protocols.
Trained and supervised student workers in routine laboratory operations and analytical procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
