Testing AssistantJob Summary:
The Testing Assistant administers a variety of computerized and paper-based exams for students, staff, instructors, and community members. Responsibilities include test administration, data entry, record maintenance, and customer service, while ensuring the security and confidentiality of all testing materials and student information. This position also assists with computer setup, tracks daily testing activity, and may require certification as a test administrator depending on the exam.Job Description:
Student/Customer Services: 55%
Administer exams according to testing standards, ensuring security and confidentiality.
Provide clear instructions and customer service to examinees, students, instructors, and staff.
Coordinate approved testing accommodations for students with disabilities.
Schedule exam appointments and manage related communication and logistics.
Department Operations and Processes: 35%
Monitor testing environments for compliance and report suspected violations.
Serve as a certified GED Examiner and ensure secure administration of High School Equivalency exams.
Maintain required testing certifications and assist in training new or temporary staff.
Set up testing workstations and report technical issues.
Enter placement test scores accurately into the student database.
Maintain testing records in FERPA compliance and complete required annual training.
Track and report daily testing statistics and assist with file management and departmental tasks.
Other: 10%
Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and campus events.
Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, vision, strategic priorities and goals of the College and the primary unit,?division?and department of this position.?
Physical😕Primary functions require ability to remain in a stationary position (sit and/or stand) greater than 50% of the time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, reach; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 10 pounds frequently; to regularly operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard; the ability communicate to exchange information; and the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions.

Environmental: Work will often occur in an office setting; where temperatures may fluctuate between high and low temperatures occasionally; may experience varying noise levels occasionally.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) year of office support or related experience.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with regular guidance and frequent check-ins.?
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience working in an educational setting, testing center, or community college setting.
Experience working with computer information systems used for student and employee data and reporting such as Workday.??

Monday-Thursday 12:30pm-9:00pm
Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm
Pay: $16.13/hour
