Job Summary
The coordinator is responsible for assisting the Associate Vice President for Athletics and Recreation by providing leadership to the Student Recreation Center. The Coordinator will orchestrate day-to-day operations and oversight of the facility, student staff and programming, while assisting in the administration of a program budget, risk management and program assessment. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
The Coordinator will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and risk management plan for the facility and recruiting, hiring, training and supervising a large student staff. In addition, the coordinator will serve as system administrator for facility related software such as Fusion, ManagerPlus and Time Guardian software. The coordinator will coordinate member services, determine facility usage and manage the department budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field and 5 years' experience in higher education recreation OR 10 years of extensive higher education recreation experience.
- Experience with Fusion Software or a similar facility management software.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills in higher education environment.
- Experience with staff development and training development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field OR 15 years' experience is higher education recreation.
- Budget Management experience.
- Experience implementing a preventative maintenance and risk management plan.

The starting salary for this position is $56,079.00, based on the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval.
