Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Child Development
College of Health, Human Services, and Nursing

The faculty of the Child Development Department at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications for a Tenure-track position in Child Development.

Responsibilities
Teaching and advising undergraduates and mentoring undergraduate research and scholarship
Conducting scholarship in line with the mission of the department, college, and university
Providing service to the department, college, university, and the profession

Child Development Department
The Child Development Department resides in the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing. We have over 600 undergraduate majors from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds. Our students seek careers working with child and families from birth through adolescence. We are integrated into our local community through our fieldwork courses and strive to emphasis a sense of social responsibility throughout our curriculum.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or related field by August 2018
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds
Evidence of scholarship and a desire to develop and maintain an active program of research that is in line with the mission of department, college, and university

Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years of teaching experience
Demonstrated expertise to teach multiple courses in the curriculum
