The Assistant Director is heavily involved in the daily administration of the One Year summer core as well as the first year of the Two Year integrated curricula MBA Programs. In addition to assisting with the delivery of all aspects of the Two Year and One Year MBA Programs, the Assistant Director is responsible for leading and/or assisting with publications and special events as well as contributing to a high quality student experience for all programs. This is achieved by working closely with the Senior Associate Director of Graduate Programs, Director of GPSA, and the students, administration, and faculty of the various MBA programs to fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of the programs, and to determine opportunities for improvement.





Essential Responsibilities


Program Administration & Development:


• Participate in and assist Senior Associate Director in the preparation of various MBA and student events relating to the One Year and Two-Year Programs, e.g. orientation and various module events, with lead involvement in such events as QEB, Accounting Basics, Pre-MBA and as well as may assist with One Year Orientation.


• Plan, develop and maintain curriculum materials including Module Maps, Syllabi creation, Course packs, Blackboard setup, etc. This involves coordination of faculty and administrators.


• Assist in the daily management of the modules, including preparing exam logistics, organizing student evaluation forms, and communicating announcements to students. Additional responsibilities include generating study groups, sections, BCAP and other faculty grading panels, and tutor schedules.


• Assist in collecting student and faculty feedback, putting together action plans, and following up with the students and faculty.


• Assist with the overflow of the various graduate programs' daily administration and special projects such as program research and grading.


• May be responsible for managing the AACSB/EBI student satisfaction survey process to full-time and part-time graduate student populations.


Student Services & Advising:


• Advise One and Two Year students, with a particular focus on academic matters, referring students to appropriate personnel and campus departments as necessary.


• Oversee selection of section rep leaders. Co-facilitate section rep meetings.


• Provide program information to prospective MBA students and participate in the prospective student Graduate Admissions activities, as needed.


• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.








Education Requirements:


Minimum Level of Education Required:


Master's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience





Additional Required Skills & Abilities


• At least 4-6 years of experience in a business or educational environment


• Excellent organizational skills


• Strong communication skills are essential; must be able to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds from the general public, all levels of college, and the business community.


• Ability to handle multiple projects with frequent deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


• Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects.


• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
