Assistant Director of Brand Engagement

UIW Mission


Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Brand Engagement is responsible for providing leadership for the creative content, video production, broadcasting, media relations, marketing and fan engagement areas for the Athletic Department. Position also develops and implements an aggressive branding, social media, public relations, marketing, advertising and promotions plan with a focus on increasing community perception, revenue and fan attendance. This position will expand brand exposure through the local media, advertising, web content, community partnerships, social media platforms and game day experiences. Position reports to the Deputy Athletic Director.

This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and The UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Required Education
Bachelors Degree.


Required Work Experience
Three (3) or more years of full-time experience in journalism, broadcasting, video production, marketing, or creative services.


Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree.

None specified.


Work Hours
Standard office hours of Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm. Position will require travel as necessary for events or functions. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist-high.
