Responsibilities: Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence, establishing a scholarly record consistent with AACSB standards, and providing service as needed to our department, school, university and community. Teaching flexibility is highly desirable as the Operations Management area has instructional opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in a variety of topics. Possible subjects include Introductory Operations Management, Data Analysis and Decision Making, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and MBA courses at both the main campus (Bakersfield, CA) and at the Antelope Valley campus (Lancaster, CA).

Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: a) have an earned doctoral degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management or related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution. Those close to completion may also be considered. b) Demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in an environment that emphasizes applied and experiential learning. c) Show research productivity commensurate with experience. d) Show a capacity to develop and sustain a research stream that will result in peer-reviewed publications. e) Be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues in a diverse campus community. f) Possess the ability to educated and mentor a diverse student population. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have industry experience in an area related to Operations and Supply Chain Management and experience teaching in logistics, procurement or other areas related to Operations and Supply Chain Management. Priority will be given to applicants with competency in teaching and using current pedagogical technologies. Candidates must meet and maintain current 2020 AACSB international standards for qualifications.

The Department of Economics currently consists of seven faculty members. The department offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Business (AGBS), as well as a concentration in the BS in Business Administration.
